Summer Flashback Friday

This is usually the time of year that I realize how unappreciative I am of summer, and pine for its return. Until it arrives of course, and I’m ungratefully longing for cooler temps and sweaters. Until then, I’m looking back at some of my past summer adventures to get some warm weather vibes. Travel this summer may be limited again this year, but I’m hoping to discover some new local hiking spots and make it back to the North Carolina Zoo. Pictured above is Waikiki Beach, which I was lucky to visit while on a college study tour in Hawaii. Officially Working Remotely

I’ve gotten a new position at work, and am now working remotely. It’s a big change for me, although I’m pretty late to the work from home party. Any advice from those of you who have been at this for close to a year now. My current coping mechanisms for barely leaving the house are lots of walks and buying flowers for my new home office at the grocery store.

Vintage Expressions

Walking through the mall lately, I’ve been struck by how faceless the mannequins are. There is a complete lack of facial features, many don’t even have heads! The mannequins I spotted this past weekend at a few antique malls were quite the opposite; incredibly expressive. they all bore fashionably aloof expressions, even in some cases, without hair or clothes.
