Today’s NaPoWriMo prompt challenged poets with a prompt from Holly Lyn Walrath As she explains it here:
Go to a book you love. Find a short line that strikes you. Make that line the title of your poem. Write a poem inspired by the line. Then, after you’ve finished, change the title completely.
I used the title from Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes book Women Who Run with the Wolves.
I enjoyed your poem, and then I did a double-take when I got to the where you mentioned the book title. At first, I thought it was the same title as a book I read late last year. But not from that author. Then I checked Amazon, and I realized they are separate books. The one I read is a collection of gripping stories written by female horror writers. It’s “We Are Wolves,” and if you’re interested, it’s available here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08PRZCLDV/. I posted a review back in December: https://davewilliamswriter.wordpress.com/2020/12/29/book-review-we-are-wolves/
