I always love the poetry I find at Dverse’s open link night. This one by Bjorn is brief, but still leaves a wintery chill!
This moonless darkness
bends the boughs of leaf-
less oaks,
it smothers wind,
it mutes the clocks
and burdened with its naught
it wraps
its icicled limbs
around my craven chest
that grant me access
to my wake to come.
