Found Poem

Foolish Man

You cannot

Turn me into a phantom

Because you are frightened

You do not dismiss a muse at whim

If you will not join me

Then I shall come

To you

Thank you Go Dog Go Cafe for Tuesday’s writing prompt, which inspired this found poem. The idea is to take a paragraph from a book, and break it down into lines that form a poem. I borrowed from Nick Bantock’s Griffin and Sabine: An Extraordinary Correspondance, which I would highly recommend. The photo above is the art that accompanies the passage I borrowed.

Griffin and Sabine is such a beautiful and tantalizing journey: I love that you used it as your source. It’s fitting.
