Discovery Place

Discovery Place is a science museum here in Charlotte, NC primarily dedicated to engaging and promoting an interest in science in children. Which does not stop me, a 32 year old childless adult, from going. Their temporary exhibits are always fascinating, most recently featuring an in-depth look at the science behind some of the oddities and record breakers featured in Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Some of the unusual artifacts on display included a replica of the tallest man on record, and a portrait  of Einstein created entirely of toast.

However, no matter what featured  curiosity draws me to the museum, I am always most interested in the permanent  sea-life and frog exhibits. No visit is complete until I have stared into every small aquarium and spotted each tiny creature dwelling inside.
